Television gives us many examples of how not to handle HR in the office, but what about guidance on “how to do it right”? During this presentation, Georgia nonprofit organizational leaders will understand relevant employment laws and will learn how these laws shape human resources policies and procedures including policies on anti-discrimination, employee classification, and wage and hour. The presentation will cover:

• federal discrimination laws (Title VII, ADA, ADEA, etc.);
• federal wage & hour laws and requirements (FLSA);
• Georgia law requirements; and
• various HR management issues such as performance evaluations.
