Many US nonprofits that work internationally work with other NGOs or nonprofits based in foreign countries. Some US nonprofits establish sister organizations or subsidiaries in foreign countries. Giving money to international NGOs, sister organizations, or even subsidiaries raises a variety of legal issues. This webcast will address some of the legal issues that US nonprofits face when giving such monies. Topics will include:

• International banking/web based payment issues
• Sending money to and from international locations through the Internet and/or wire
• The need for contracting with foreign individuals, contractors, NGOs and/or corporations when giving money
• Fundraising and operating in foreign countries
